I will leave it to you to determine if there is actually a bug here, or at the very least I think some extra information in the plugin documentation would be helpful. OK, after several hours of testing and reconfiguring I figure out what was causing the problem. How to I configure KeePass, KeeAutoExec, or my OneDrive SharePoint Online configurations such that KeeAutoExec will start working again?

The problem is that the KeeAutoExec plugin is unable to find and open the file. This shows me that the URL e.g., file path, is correct, that I have the needed permissions and KeePass can find and open the the file. The problem is that when KeeAutoExec runs when a database first is opened or I use the File | Open (KeeAutoExec) option and select either database then KeeAutoExec reports back "The specified file could not be found." This is confusing because KeeAutoExec uses the file path from the URL which I just clicked on and the file was found and opened. If I double click the URL field the in KeeAutoExec entry under the AutoOpen group the database is found and prompts for the master password. If I double click either file it launches KeePass and prompts for the master password. I can browse to and open the either file from the File | Open menu in KeePass.

The locations for the locally synced files are basically identical except that the folder under the user profile is either the OneDrive local cache or the SharePoint Online local cache. In both cases I have the folders containing the KeePass databases synced to my local drive. I am testing this with a fresh install of KeePass 2.51.1 and KeeAutoExec 2.4 as the only plugin to eliminate any possible conflicts.Īt work we have are migrating from SMB file shares to using OneDrive for personal files and SharePoint Online for team files and I now have two KeePass databases, one in each online system. Everything looks like it should be working, but I am getting an error back from the plugin that does not make sense.

That said I have run into an issue recently using KeeAutoExec that has me stumped. I am quite familiar with how to configure and automate the KeePass and how to use and configure plugins. First let me say I've been using KeePass for over since the first release of KeePass 1.x, and have donated a few times (everyone should) and really appreciate what you have built here for the community.
